Brewer’s Night with Almanac Beer Co., Wed. Mar. 9th, 5-7p
Founded in 2010 by Jesse Friedman and Damian Fagan, Almanac Beer Company was born five gallons at a time on the guys’ homebrew setups. Using farmer’s markets as the launching pad for many unique homebrews, they’ve continued to let the seasons and the local culinary scene drive their development of exciting beers with unique ingredients. Their ever-evolving and expanding Farm to Barrel Sours have left sour fans clamboring for every new release.
Join us Wednesday, March 9th, from 5pm to 7pm, as we host the crew from Almanac for an expansive tasting of their excellent brews. On tap we will have:
- Valley of the Heart’s Delight 2015--A wine barrel aged sour blonde ale fermented with locally-foraged apricots, dates, and mulberries.
- Elephant Heart de Brettaville 2015--A farmhouse-style pale fermented with 100% brettanomyces, aged on California elephant heart plums.
- Barbary Coast Imperial Stout--brewed with oak staves, vanilla, sea salt, a hint of spicy chili and Dandelion Chocolate cacao nibs.
- Almanac IPA--A fresh West Coast hop bomb layered with Apollo, El Dorado, Simcoe and Mosaic Hops to create a unique twist on the IPA style with intense aromas of grapefruit and tangerine peel, melon, pineapple and pine trees.
