Three Magnets Can Release, Sat. April 8th, 1-3p

We are excited to be part of Three Magnets latest release. For the very first time, they are packaging the latest and freshest of their awesome brews in cans, and Pint Defiance will be one of the first three places to get them. Saturday, April 8th, starting at 1pm, the Three Magnets crew will be on hand to launch their new trio of canned IPAs. We will have the new Rainstorm IPA on tap, and you'll be able to purchase cans of the new Rainstorm IPA, Sunstorm IPA, and Mount Kenya Coffee IPA to-go. Don't miss this epic and historical event!

Too much time has passed since we did an event with our Friends at Fremont, and we have a rad tap list to make up for it: Oregon-only Independent IPA, Midnight Rider Imperial Porter with vanilla, coffee, & coconut (brewed for Bellingham Beer Week), a saison aged in their newly christened oak foudres,

Bottleshop Collaboration Project #1: Cloudburst Soul Proprietor

When our friend Jordan White, General Manager of Chuck's Hop Shop Central District, approached us to be a part of a new project to foster collaboration, comradery, and a shared love of great craft beer, we were honored to be asked. When we heard that Cloudburst Brewing volunteered to be the first brewery to take on the challenge, we jumped in with both feet. In all, 11 Pacific Northwest bottle shops formed like Voltron to create the Bottleshop Collaboration Project (or “B.C.P.” for short). 

The first fruits of our labor is a hop smorgasbord of a brew, the kind Cloudburst is known for. Dubbed “Soul Proprietor IPA,” it is brewed with Chinook, Citra and Galaxy hops and a ton of Mosaic hop dust, and only one keg of this extremely limited brew is allocated to each of the 11 bottle shops. And we are tapping ours up in sync with the 10 other bottle shops, all at the same time—Friday, March 24th, at 5p. Don’t miss this opportunity to try an extremely limited, one-keg-then-gone-forever epic collab beer.

Brewer’s Night with Rainy Daze, Wed. March 29th, 5-7p

We’ve had a particularly wet and rainy winter, with brief intermissions of drizzle just for variety. The constant deluge can make a dent in our generally sunny dispositions, and beer helps too. Which is why we are choosing to embrace the rainy days with our friends at Rainy Daze for our latest Brewer’s Night.

Join us Wednesday, March 29th from 5 to 7p, as we host the crew from the brewery. Take cover from the rain, and meet owner and head brewer, Mike Montoney. We’ll have a wide swath of awesome brews on tap, including Jerry Spring-Beer Pale Ale, Goat Boater IPA, a brand new New England-style IPA, Chocolate Kittens Truffle Stout (a collaboration with Barry), and Mind Funk Coffee Blonde Ale. You might even take home some rad brewery schwag. Don’t miss it!

It's no secret that San Diego, CA is home to dozens of great breweries. But we have been getting many requests for one brewery in particular:

Modern Times.

Modern Times Primary focus is aroma-driven, complex, flavorful, session-ish beers. They often brew hybrid styles, combining the features they like from established categories to create new, Island-Of-Doctor-Moreau-style mash-ups.

They premiered their brand in the seattle market recently, and will launch in the South Sound within the next few weeks.
