Brewer's Night with Stoup, Wed. Feb. 24th, 5-7pm

on Thu, 02/18/2016 - 03:43

In the last few years, the cozy Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has become a hotbed of breweries and a must-see destination for lovers of great craft beer. It has become increasingly difficult to stand out among the consistent barrage of delicious brews, which is why Stoup Brewing’s cult following is so damned impressive. From single-hop pales to barrel aged sours, Stoup’s specialty has become that of consistency and experimentation.

We here at Pint Defiance have been longtime supporters of Stoup (they even brewed our 2nd Anniversary IPA) and we are hosting them for the latest installment

Brewer’s Night with Commons Brewery, Tuesday, Feb. 2nd, 5-7p

on Thu, 01/28/2016 - 02:07

Since 2011, Portland’s Commons Brewery has been producing small-batch, artisanal, Belgian-inspired farmhouse ales. Their dedication to craft and quality, as well as their fierce independent streak has given rise to some of the city’s most unique and innovative brews that have started to shift craft drinkers away from their safe zone of hoppy brews.

Join us Tuesday, Feb 2nd, from 5 to 7pm as we host the crew from Commons for a night of fun and—most importantly—great beers . On tap, we will be pouring Boysen Belgian Strong Dark with boysenberries, Cerise Noir Belgian Dark with sweet and sour

Pint Defiance Grand Opening

on Tue, 09/11/2012 - 20:12

Just when you thought Tacoma couldn't get any more awesome, Pint Defiance opened yesterday. We had a steady stream of friends, family, and beer lovers through our doors all day, grabbing bottles from our cooler, having pints in our tap room, and catching up with friends.

Thanks for all the love, Tacoma!

In Heaven, there is no beer.

In Heaven, there is no beer

That's why we drink ours here!

-Popular German drinking song my dad sings after mowing the lawn (see also: http://youtu.be/aZObXQe1lqI)

Despite the certain thelogical questions that arise from this diddy (why would God disallow beer in Heaven? Would this place even be Heaven if there were no beer?), it is a song from my roots that rang through my head last Saturday at the Fourth Annual Tacoma Craft Beer Festival.

Because I'm not so sure that the Beer Fest wasn't Heaven.

I mean, there was a gatekeeper...

...all of my friends were there...

...and
